K9's For Veterans held an event today in Joliet bringing out 100's of supporters

K9's For Veterans held an event today in Joliet for veterans who are in need of emotional support animals. Not often do we think about the amount of mental despair our vets have to face as they go to war and come home but more times than we realize our men face real traumas. Michael Tellerino and Thomas Mccullagh among many others sit on the board of K9's for veterans a group that has made it their mission to ensure veterans get the care animals they need and the training all at no cost to the veteran.

Today's event took place at LongShots in Joliet, IL and the team held a car show and they went above and beyond to ensure the event went well and the veterans program was seen and heard even more so they could help more and more veterans.

Michael Tellerino the groups CEO spoke about wanting a Joliet location for their training as well and we sure hope we can get this done in the near future! When asked what the team's overall mission the answer was simple from board member Tom Mccullagh, " we want to help our men and woman who serve our nations selflessly". More than 250 people came out for their car show and event this afternoon and it was a major success for our veterans!
